Signs Your BFT Gate Motor Replacement Is Failing

• The gate starts, then stops halfway and reverses. This is usually the motor’s torque sensor registering an obstruction that isn’t there, or a failing run capacitor. The motor tries to push, can’t build proper torque, and gives up. It’s the most common “false obstruction” call we get in Flower Mound.
• A loud hum with no movement. The capacitor or the internal gear set is shot. The motor is getting power and trying to spin, but the mechanicals won’t transfer that energy to the gate. Continuing to hold the button just cooks the windings further.
